Is this Capitalism?

This type of executive severance deal has to be put to an end, it rewards failure.

Apotheker was ousted on Thursday, but he'll collect more money on his way out the door. The former CEO will take home $7.2 million in cash as severance, plus $18 million more in stock.

I cannot imagine a client accepting a contract that would pay me if I do not deliver the services/products agreed upon, why is this any different?
